How do I know how many boxes I will need?
A 5-minute phone call with one of our customer service reps can determine your storage needs and the number of boxes you may need.

How do I get my packing material?
Approximately one week before your scheduled pick-up, all materials will be delivered to your campus (most likely your scheduled reading day).The information will be posted on our website under your school.  The time and location will be posted their as well. Take as many boxes as you think you need. Whatever you don’t use should be returned on your pick-up day.

Are my items safe and insured?
All items are stored in our professional movers' storage facilities. They are fully secure, climate-controlled warehouses.

Insurance must be arranged for in advance by each student. Insurance companies that specialize in student insurance can be found on the internet.

Can I store items that won't fit into a box?
The Student Storage Company can store any item that you need to leave behind. We store futons, trunks, plastic bins, furniture, desks, beds, refrigerators, micrtowaves, chairs, etc... Items such as Plasma/LCD TVs and flat screen monitors should be stored in their original boxes.

What methods of payment do you accept?
Credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, as well as personal checks. NO CASH !!!!

When do I get billed?
All clients will be billed a $50.00 deposit when signing up with our service. The balance is not due until the pick-up has been completed and inventoried. This is usually 3-4 weeks after pick-up. The credit card we have on file will automatically get charged unless you make other arrangements. The $50.00 deposit is credited to your final balance.

How do you keep track of items so they don't get lost or mixed with others?
All customers receive a detailed descriptive inventory sheet that lists all the items that were picked-up. Once the items enter the warehouse, they are put into a storage lot. Upon delivery in the fall the inventory list is re-checked and all items redelivered to you.

Can I cancel my order?
All orders can be cancelled at anytime. If cancellation occurs after the material drop off day, the client will forfeit the $50.00 deposit. All cancellations must be in writing via e-mail or fax.

Do you pick -up and deliver Off Campus?
The Student Storage Company can pick-up off campus. There is a radius rule for certain campuses. If your address is outside the radius area pick-up may be an extra charge or unavailable for your location. Please check with a customer service representative for more details.

What if I bring out more or less than I ordered?
No problem, you will only be billed for the amount of items you store. Remember there is no minimum or maximum amount a client needs to store.

Can I pull my items out of storage early?
You can, but there will be an additional charge. You may defray the cost by getting a group of students together who need early delivery. Charges vary per school. There will be a warehouse fee to pull items out of storage and additional redelivery fees. You may choose to pick up your items from the warehouse but you will still incur the warehouse fee to bring items to the loading dock.
